Zádor – Kováts Duo (HU)

The duo's artistic mission is to perform music interspersed with pre-composed passages, but essentially improvised, in a way that is understandable and enjoyable for listeners less familiar with the jazz genre – without compromise.

Zádor – Kováts Duo (HU)

Featuring:
Oszkár Zádor - piano
Zoltán Kováts - double bass

The Zádor – Kováts duo was formed in 2016. In their music, the two instruments engage in a dialogue based on the themes of their own compositions, in which the alternation of consonant and dissonant harmonies creates tension. Their works are typically born out of improvisation, with both composed ideas and spontaneous instrumental reflections, almost reminiscent of free music. Their exchange of ideas is based on their album Thoughts from the Outskirts, released in autumn 2018, but this concert will also feature some potential hits from their forthcoming second album. The duo's artistic mission is to perform music interspersed with pre-composed passages, but essentially improvised, in a way that is understandable and enjoyable for listeners less familiar with the jazz genre – without compromise.

Table reservations are automatically added during ticket purchase.
Please note that if you purchase an odd number of seats, you might have to share the table with others, especially if the concert is sold out.
For the best dining experience please arrive around 7pm.
We hold reservations until 8pm.

Behind the ‘pop music in a time machine' concept are arrangements of familiar contemporary pop hits and golden-oldies that are swinged-, jazzed- and doo-wopped-up before being planted in Motown-sounding soul. This simple but wonderful idea is one that works perfectly.

A Beautiful Confusion ZÓRA váratlan, de intenzív feltűnésének címe is lehetne akár. A kaliforniai születésű és részben ma is Amerikában élő Urbányi Zóra 2021-ben élénk visszhangot váltott ki Kollár-Klemencz László Iszom a bort című dalának feldolgozásával, ami után egymást követték saját szerzeményei.

Ádám Fischer's career as a conductor, which began more than half a century ago, is linked to his homeland in many ways: the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Hungarian State Opera, Müpa Budapest and the Austro-Hungarian Haydn Orchestra are all important chapters in his work.
