He was living in Vienna for a long time and was a good friend of Beethoven; later he moved to Paris, and died there in 1836. He was an excellent composer, a teacher with vast knowledge and a musicologist. His concerto for two horns will be heard between of one of Mozart's best-loved works, the serenade for strings, Eine kleine Nachtmusik (little night music), and his Symphony No. 33, composed in Salzburg in 1779.
Zoltán Szőke graduated as a horn-player from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, has won prizes at several international competitions and is principal horn-player of the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra and the Budapest Festival Orchestra. Bálint Képíró is horn-player in the MÁV Symphony Orchestra. He successfully participated in several international competitions and won the scholarship of the National Talent Program in Hungary three times.
